August 6, 2013. It is a good calling to be known as a friend and close associate who never turns back. Consider being such a friend. It is the love of God in you that allows and compels you to become known as dependable. To do so means you will need to be selfless and giving. You will need to yield your own agenda in order to facilitate the agenda of your friend. Not many rise to that level of friendship, but it is possible to those who eagerly desire it. Be a friend.

God gave all this as usual to me this morning. I posted that picture of being light and the message from Ras and the scripture because it ties in with what God gave me today to share. Friendship and the Holy Spirit: Last night I was awaken at 1:30am thinking of Greg Speckman our catcher on the softball team, God showed me he was struggling with something, I prayed, I called him at 6:30 this morning to check on him………he was blown away, he did not sleep all night as he got some discouraging news about their house sale. I told him God already game me the message to give to you….Matt. 6:8 Do not be like them,. for your Father already knows what you need before you ask Him..Greg was again blown away…..I posted the scripture from John 20, because when we are filled with the Holy Spirit we will be comforted and given messages, that is what just took place with me and Greg. When we are prompted by God, we must act. To receive messages, we must have a close relationship with our Lord. He told me Greg was troubled, I called…I find this happening more and more in my life, God speaks to me, for this I know as the truth.
Be careful as some say they hear from God, but they do not as they are not filled with the Holy Spirit.
This morning the news is all extra bad……I picked up the Albuquerque Journal and got sick to my stomach…….the news and the sports page all full of death, shootings, drugs in baseball etc…….
We must be light in the darkness, we must be friends, we must be in tuned with the Holy Spirit, we must know that our Father knows what we need.
The Christian life starts by being in love with God. It’s a relationship where God is not just a part of your life, he is your life!
You get up in the morning and realizing that the rest of the day there will be forces, the darkness, that drag you down, away from God, you pray for Him to flood your heart.
You pray desperately because you want God, and you realize that on your own you are not capable of maintaining the level of passion for Him you desire.
It’s the kind of intimacy that leads you to a simple goal in your life: each day you want to love God more than you did the day before. You have a prayer that subliminally becomes a soundtrack for your life: God, pour yourself into me. God pour yourself into me. God pour yourself into me.
My prayer for you this day and all days is that you fall more into love with God everyday.
