sermon on the mountI just love this picture of Jesus sitting and talking! Man what a sight! Imagine being there, the peace.  Jesus most famous message is the Sermon on the Mount.

Matt 5:3, Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

He preached the Beatitudes. He called us to be different, to see the world from God’s perspective, to relate to people in a supernatural fashion.

Each of the eight Beatitudes begins with the word “blessed” In fact that is what the word “Beatitude” means. It is taken from the Latin word “Beatus” which means blessedness. For centuries the Christian Church has used the term “Beatitude” to describe these eight character qualities that bring about a state of blessedness before God.

A Blessed person has God’s approval and God’s favor. Heaven applauds. God congratulates and rewards accordingly. Today my Dear friends, please read Matt. 5: 3-12 and find out what makes God smile down on us.
