“Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.” – Colossians 3:2Amen and Amen!Last night we lost our last game of the first half of the season to Mountain Springs Baptist Church. We are awaiting word if we have sole possession of first place or if we are tied……..BUT, that is not why I had problems going to sleep, it was because of the violence in our communities. These are issues that Politicians and Chamber of Commerce types don’t like talking about. This is not about passing more laws, we have more laws on the books than Carter has liver pills! It is about bringing others out of the darkness……getting our hands dirty for Jesus……….bringing the light of Jesus to meet and defeat the darkness in the lives of many! Getting out on the streets. We lock up people in prison and about 80% or more end back in prison. I posted at story at www.fggam.org this morning about the 3 year old that was hit in the head in one of Albuquerque’s supermarkets. Albuquerque is a very violent city, New Mexico ranks as one of the top states (Latest I saw was number 4 in the nation) for violent crimes. These are issues that will not get you elected into office because people don’t like talking about violent crime because they do not know what to do about it, accept pass more laws. But we know Jesus Christ is the answer. It is about reaching the heart, souls and minds of people in darkness. I ask these questions daily: Why are not our so called leaders calling all to pray for God’s healing rains in southwest America? Why are these folks who call themselves Christians who are in Political office not leading the charge for prayer? They must be held accountable. Leadership in America and the state I live in, New Mexico is at an all-time low. We will not turn our state and Nation around until we look into the eye’s of Jesus Christ! It is as simple as that, but harden hearts can’t see it. Politicians talk and talk and talk, NOTHING NOISE! Sure their is a few good eggs out there, but FEW! I say PEW TOO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL LOL LOL LOL!!!!!I wish Will Rogers was living now and sounding off about the state of affairs! I was told by a leading Christian yesterday that most American Churches are failing God, a sad commentary from a leader, She said that the Church is too concerned about ITSELF and not people. Let us pray on that! Just think about 75% of America does not go to Church. As my Daddy said to me years ago,” Son, sometimes the truth hurts!”Last night before the softball game we were told that Pastor Al Casamento of the Rio Vista Church of the Nazarene passed away. Martha Powell also sent me a message this morning on Pastor Al’s passing. Some of our Softball players knew him and loved him so. As Martha stated in her message, he was loved by many churches! Please also pray for the pre-marital counseling session I do today. Please read all our news and inspirational posts at www.fggam.org Please pass the word around! We love you all!WOW! Sonja sent me this Devo this morning, it is outstanding! Have you ever felt like the Caboose, or do you feel like it today? I had a talk with a man awhile back that he still feels like the caboose at age 57, because of things said to him by kids back in his school days. The words we speak to others are powerful, good and bad.
