This young man’s action, i.e. pointing to the sky, was violation enough to disqualify the four man team from their win.
One has to hope; yes, and pray, the arbiter in this contest made the decision without malice or the desire to show a young Christian, he cannot express his beliefs in the marketplace of ideas … even when the ideas amount to a silent gesture demonstrating the youth’s character.
