Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Have you heard the calling of God in your life?

Yesterday I shared with you this from Don Piper…………

Have you ever wept over the kindness of the Lord in your life. If it comes, let it come. It is an offering, sweet to both.
I am still weeping over the love of the Lord from yesterday. As I sit here and type this letter to you I am thanking the Lord for saving my life yesterday. On the way back to KAZQ yesterday to tape two programs with Pastor Leonard, I was stopped to make a left turn on Montgomery onto Jefferson. I was letting oncoming traffic go past as I had the green, then traffic became clear and I was about to make the turn and the Lord said WAIT, even though I had the green then the light turned RED and then Lord still said WAIT and then huge Red Cargo van with jacked up tires going about 55 miles per hour plus drove right though the red light. In my little Chevy I would have been squashed like a bug, if the Lord would not have stopped me. You know when the Lord has acted on your behalf, there is not doubt. There are no coincidences. This is why I stress wherever I go to have a close relationship with God, to be able to hear Him speak to you.

It became clear to me in yesterdays taping on Pastor Leonard’s program, “Your Bible Boost” Mondays at 8pm on KAZQ CH 32 that a reason we fail at times in life is because of our lack of a relationship with Jesus. Leonard was asking me about the change in my life from full time employment to going into full-time Missionary work, Leonard ask, “Did you have any doubts, were you scared?”  I answered, of course I was scared at bit when Pastor Larry Moss called and said “God wants you out of the radio station  He wants you out Preaching the Word.” I drug my feet for a couple of months, but then moved into FGGAM with Sharon.  I was at first slow……I think EGO was involved, EGO stands for “Edging God Out!” Anytime you spend years pouring your heart and soul into something like a Church, a Radio Ministry….etc and God says it’s now time to move on…..it can be hard.

The point here is to move forward onto the path God has paved for you. Do not be out of the Will that God has for you and yours. You know the plan God has for you because you will hear from Him and like in my case He sent Pastor Larry Moss to also tell me. God also sent others into my office to tell me it was time for me to move on, God sent two other people to confirm what Larry had said.

You would think I could take a hint!!!! LOL LOL

Part of my Testimony now is that we need a close relationship with Jesus, we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit, so we can hear and feel the presence of our Lord, we need Christian mentor’s in our life to guide us along.

We must not do or say anything unless it’s from the Lord. Confirm what you think the Lord is telling you through prayer and then listen. This is also where your Mentor’s come in to help guide you.

Whoever believes will not act hastily
Also James 4:13-17

Boasting About Tomorrow

13 Now listen,A) you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.”B) 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.C) 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will,D) we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil.E) 17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

What I have just written here is the key to Godly living and giving our whole life to God.

The key to a Godly life, eternal life, is a Close relationship with our Father, our best friend, listening to our Father, reading the Words of our Father, talking to our Father, trusting our Father, doing what our Father says to do, Worshiping Him, Then sharing His love with others! AMEN!

You will find as you grow in your relationship with our Lord that His message is very simple. We are to have Child like faith. We have done a good job I think of complicating the message of Jesus. When you completely fall in love with Him your understanding of God will be just be so AWESOME! Try it, you will LOVE IT!

Having been in Radio all my life and being around the EBS System, the Emergency Broadcast system that you hear from time to time on your radio or TV to alert us of storms, national emergencies etc……..this story out of Montana shows that our EBS System’s are not “Hacker Proofed”

A terrifying emergency broadcast shocked local Montana residents on Monday when KRTV’s midday programming was interrupted by a report of “dead bodies” “rising from their graves” in several counties.
“The bodies of the dead are rising from their graves and are attacking the living,” the emergency announcer warned. “Do not attempt to approach or apprehend these bodies, as they are considered extremely dangerous.”
KRTV posted a notice on the internet apologizing for the mistake and blaming a hacker for the erroneous report of a zombie attack.
This message did not originate from KRTV, and there is no emergency.
Our engineers are investigating to determine what happened and if it affected other media outlets.
I asked Dennis Cole to share this heart warming story. It is a story I can relate too and I am sure many of you also will identify with this story. I really love it because it involves BASEBALL!!!!

Hi Dewey!  Thanks for liking my story – here it is.   Lets get together sometime.
Warmly, Dennis

Just saw the movie The Natural. Its about time I saw this wouldn’t you say? I mean it took me until I was 34 for to finally accept I would never be a professional ballplayer.I was a softball player for the Woodstock Collection in Woodstock NY when in a dream I accepted my fate as a non professional ballplayer. I’m a baseball guy and a Yankee fan. How could I miss seeing this movie?
Maybe, not to make a pun, maybe this film is too close to home.
There was a great line spoken by Glenn Close character,.. again no pun intended ” we each have 2 lives the one we live with and the one we learn from”. The latter is deeper than the bullet wound in Roy Hobbs shoulder. What are we learning from the life we live?

Our flawed hero as a young man was a great talent and he knew it too. Proud ,but not arrogant he made a deadly enemy. He loses not only his game but his youth. I say hero because he kept something of innocence from youth to adulthood. His love for baseball was really his innocence and revealed his love for life. He had a tenacity for integrity. He came back.
He returned to baseball where he had his youth and hope, fear and despair. His love led him back even more than his talent. That’s why we write about the man. God is Love and it is beautiful to see this played out in life.
No this film doesn’t have Gods name in it. In the version I saw on MLB network it did not have Gods name in vain either. Truly if it did I don’t think I could see the films purity of heart.
What I saw is what we all need to see and that is to live our lives with the purity of heart of a child. It is beautiful to change by facing who you are and what you’ve done and go back to that place and find God is there .Your new childhood and your grown up new begginning all as one life lived and learned from.
In the culture of death which is our world and time it is so difficult to fathom and to navigate life as it was intended to be. Seek for real life and you will find it.
I lived life in my 20s too.
My greatest love- talent was not baseball but acting. I had my plans and career set in my mind. I had great pleasure and some pride in it too. Then life intruded,
betrayal, discouragement, disappointment, and disappearance from almost everyone I knew before.
I call those years Lost In Brooklyn.
My wife Wendy was my close one {Glenn Close character }and the love of my life. It truly is a blessing to fall in love. Go for it. If you are married you can fall in love every day. Just have the courage to act on the purity of your passion no matter what the calendar tells you about how old you are. Or how badly you failed last time out.
At 52,oh so many years later, after my youth ,and days of theatre and being told I had talent and a great future… there I was with my daughter and my wife doing The Sermon On The Mount at a church whose name I do not remember.
It was not the major leagues of theater it was South Bend Indiana. It was also the beggining I got to do all over again. I do this fulltime and have for many years now.
Its The Natural and as organic as life can be. It is not me making up for my past it is what I am about now.

This isn’t about a movie anymore. Its not about taking up acting either. It is however not living by what the resume says you are .Its about believing in your calling more than your career. If words like “calling” scare you reconsider that a chlld would not fear those words. Go for the things that are free and that last forever. Seek and you will find a you ,you never knew ,and a God you somehow knew was always around and now has been invited in. By you.
Its Super….Its ..Natural.

here is another heart warming video that Sharon uses in her presentations……………...

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair
cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began
to work, they began to have a good conversation.
They talked about so many things and various subjects.
When they eventually touched on the subject of God,
the barber said: ‘I don’t believe that God exists.’
‘Why do you say that?’ asked the customer.
‘Well, you just have to go out in the street to
realize that God doesn’t exist.Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many
sick people? Would there be abandoned children?
If God existed, there would be neither
suffering nor pain.I can’t imagine a loving God who would
allow all of these things.’The customer thought for a moment, but
didn’t respond because he didn’t want to
start an argument.

The barber finished his job and the customer
left the shop.
Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a
man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair
and an untrimmed beard.

He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer
turned back and entered the barbershop again
and he said to the barber:

‘You know what? Barbers do not exist.’

‘How can you say that?’ asked the surprised
barber. ‘I am here, and I am a barber. And I
just worked on you!’
‘No!’ the customer exclaimed. ‘Barbers don’t
exist because if they did, there would be no
people with dirty long hair and untrimmed
beards, like that man outside.’
‘Ah, but barbers DO exist! That’s what happens
when people do not come to me.’

‘Exactly!’ affirmed the customer. ‘That’s the
point! God, too, DOES exist! That’s what
happens when people do not go to Him and don’t
look to Him for help.
That’s why there’s so much pain and suffering in
the world.’

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths. -Proverbs 3:5-6

Thanks for sharing Pastor Paul, that story is a favorite of many!
