Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Thank you for stopping by for a CUP! PRAISE GOD!

The Lord has shown me from the intensity of the last 5 days now, and this may seem like a simple thing to some, but this is what drives me, this is what is in me so strong, as strong as the will to live for Christ, IT IS ALL ABOUT GOD! I WAS SHARING YESTERDAY ABOUT FGGAM, AND IT IS NOT ABOUT ONE PERSON, NOT ONE PERSON, IT IS ALL ABOUT GOD! Our lives are to be all about HIM and the Body of Christ. This ministry that the Lord has given me and Sharon is to serve HIM and the Body of Christ. It is not about me. It is For God’s Glory Alone! I had a Christian man tell me that I should “brand” (That was the first red flag! Branding is a secular marketing term) Brand everything Dewey Moede…….ugh! IT IS NOT ABOUT ME! I WANT TO SHOUT TO THIS WORLD EVERYTHING IS ABOUT GOD! NOT ME!

Please pray for our little guy Reno, he undergoes cancer surgery in Wed. morning. We are believing in our Lord that Reno is healed and he will have the growth removed. Let me tell you what happened yesterday, I was distracted by a matter that was going on and did not have a clear head and left the gate open and Reno and Buffy got out! Oh my! They ran…….I went looking for them! I ran! I am now in shape for the start of softball season…….Buffy was walking home and then the Lord turned me around and I headed the other way and the Lord led me right to where Reno was! AMEN! The favor of God! AMEN! You gotta remember that Reno is a beagle and he picks the scent of a rabbit up and he is GONE!

Reno

As I shared earlier it has been intense here at FGGAM of late, We announced yesterday that we are going back on radio! The LORD has made that possible with the help of Annette Garcia and Dan N
Birga 730am KDAZ Noon on Mondays, “This is the World we live In”
We are also revamping the FGGAM website to reflect our increased media presence. With Dewey and Friends on KAZQ CH 32 the Lord just keeps opening Doors for our little ministry and we thank Pastor Raymond Franks and Brenton Franks for all they do for us. I stated yesterday….FGGAM IS NOT ABOUT ONE PERSON……….IT IS ONLY ABOUT GOD…….GOD……..IS ALL THAT MATTERS……WHAT HE WANTS US TO DO. IT IS ABOUT THE BODY OF CHRIST!! My calling card for years has been, My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. Acts 20:24 And how do you know the work that the Lord has assigned you? By having a close personal relationship with Him, He will tell you! AMEN!

Hey Dewey! Keep those cups comin’ my brother! God Bless and love ya! Alan Autry
Got that short and sweet bit of encouragement from Alan Autry last night. Alan is making Christian movies now, you may remember him as Bubba the Deputy Sheriff in the TV series In The Heat of the Night! It’s now been five months of PAIN… And the Dr told me it would be a year!! I want to prove him wrong!!! I’ll be half way thru by next month, but then he also said it might Never go away.. I have something to teach him.. I believe my Saviour when He said I’ll never have more than I can handle. And that wasn’t just a suggestion, it is a Promise!!! He will not Ever let us down..
Bless You my dear friend, and give your precious wife a hug for me. I’m so glad she is giving her talks about having compassion. All caregivers need to hear her!

Intense in our faith, in listening to the Holy Spirit, I commented on the Intensity of the last 4 days for Sharon and I…..intense can be a very good thing……doors opening, a new season, knowing the Lord is paving the road for you…….As I prepare the CUP today the Lord gave me these words, 2 Timothy 2:19 says, “Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands having this seal: ‘The Lord knows those who are His,’ and ‘Let everyone who names the Name of Christ depart from iniquity.’ AMEN! We thank you all who commented and stopped by our posting…your love encourages to be BOLD in our FAITH, but not mean, we are to be BOLD but with the love of our Lord. The Holy Spirit guides us through all situations.

For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. (Colossians 2:5—NKJV)

From a distance, Paul was trying to discern the spiritual state of the Colossian believers. Paul loved the believers dearly, prayed for them intensely, and invested his heart in their eternal welfare. Any little bit of information which came to him concerning them was taken to heart as he pieced together a picture of their spiritual health.
As the picture became clear to him, he put what he saw into the words of our verse. The words he chose have a distinctly martial tone that is easily discernable to the reader. Paul says that he sees them prepared for the battle of life in the “good order” and “steadfastness” of their faith. Good order refers to arrangement of the army, and steadfastness is representative of the preparation of the individual soldiers in their military formation.
It is interesting to me that the translators of the Greek word that means “firm, solid expanse, solid, stiff, and standing firmly” chose the English word “steadfast” to best communicate the idea. Steadfast is of Anglo-Saxon derivation and is incorporated into several words and phrases. “Stead” means a firm place (like a town), or the position of a thing filled by a replacement, a successor which may substitute in the place of another (our phrase “stand in good stead” means to give good advantage and serve well in the place of something). These definitions enhance the meaning of “instead.” They communicate the foundational thought behind the words “homestead” (house, outbuildings and farmland as settled property), bedstead, and “steadfast” (firm, fixed, settled, established, and constant as opposed to fickle).
Paul’s view of the Colossian believers was like a drill master surveying his recruits he has trained, that have now gone off to war, standing on the field of battle in battle array with the steady heart of a soldier beating within. Each soldier knows the enemy is on the march; he knows the business of war; he knows the strength of his training; he knows the great heart of his fellow soldiers; and he stands fixedly in perfect confidence with a sure grip upon his accustomed weapon (“steadfast in your faith”), ready to take on the enemy. “Steady” describes the troops’ firmness, stability, loyalty, constancy, and fixedness.
The same Greek word is found in other places in the Bible. 2 Timothy 2:19 says, “Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands having this seal: ‘The Lord knows those who are His,’ and ‘Let everyone who names the Name of Christ depart from iniquity.’” Hebrews 5:12, 14 reads, “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.” The word is used by Luke in the book of Acts (3:7, 16, and 16:5) to describe the miraculous strengthening of a man’s legs through healing to leap and walk, and is used to describe the spiritual firming of churches in their faith.
In 1 Peter 5:8–9, Peter says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.” Peter calls upon believers to be solid—like a foundation, to be stubborn in the faith—immoveable, hard—like good Christian soldiers ought to be in their faith!
How well trained are you in spiritual things? Is your Christianity the kind that is in good order and are you steadfast in your faith? What steps must you take in order to be a faithful soldier of Jesus Christ? Trust and obey.

Here is one of the most common sense write ups I have seen in a long time, it sums up what I have been Preaching for months about the Republican party……….excellent stuff from Cal Thomas……..
GOP: R.I.P.?
By Cal Thomas
Tribune Media Services
Some political commentators are dancing on what they believe to be the grave of the Republican Party, claiming that the only way the GOP can have a viable future is for them to behave like Democrats.
Last weekend, National Review magazine sponsored a “conservative summit” in Washington. They should have held it elsewhere.
Prior to speaking at that event, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal addressed the Republican National Committee’s annual winter meeting in Charlotte, N.C., where he proposed a new strategy for Republicans and conservatives that begins, not in Washington, but at the state level.
Jindal said the Republican Party loses when it plays on the liberal Democrats’ turf, allowing them to set the agenda.
“America is not the federal government,” he said. He maintained Republicans have wasted too much time trying to manage bloated government and too little time growing the private sector. The media and Democrats, he added, treat any serious proposal to restrain government growth as “not serious” when the truth is, “…nothing serious is deemed serious in Washington.”
Then in a face-slapping moment, Jindal added, “If this election taught us anything — it is that we will not win elections by simply pointing out the failures of the other side. We must boldly paint the picture of what America can be, of just how incredibly bright America’s future can be.”
The real action is occurring away from Washington. Republican governors, a majority of state chief executives, are lowering or eliminating state incomes taxes, cutting wasteful spending, balancing budgets, or creating surpluses, and in the case of Indiana, sending rebate checks to taxpayers.
Here are three Jindalisms the public can understand: “Government spending still does not grow our economy. … American weakness on the world stage still does not lead to peace. … Higher taxes still do not create prosperity for all.”
Poverty should not be the final verdict on any life. Republicans need to have “testimony time” during which people once addicted to government tell how they broke free and are now earning a paycheck because they embraced conservative principles. Republicans should be seen as friends of the poor instead of friends of the wealthy, who President Obama has said, are doing fine.
Republicans should also partner with churches. Stop arguing about the evils of welfare dependency and start helping people live a life of self-sufficiency. That begins with a change in attitude and a transformation of outlook. What better institution to address these internal qualities than the church?
If Republicans want to do something about the future, they should back a growing movement to pull children out of underperforming public schools where often their views, values, understanding of history and even faith are undermined. Home-schooling is an option. The public school system, seemingly a “hot house” for growing new generations of secular liberals, is a failure on many levels. It makes no sense to me to put one’s children in a school system that will likely transform their minds and souls into something quite different from those of their parents. Private school is also an option. Many of them offer scholarships to children whose parents can’t afford tuition. A solid education is the first step out of poverty.
Negativity doesn’t inspire. Criticizing Democrats might make the base feel good, but it solves nothing. Republicans should adopt the optimism and vision of Ronald Reagan, whose main gift to this country was to persuade Americans to believe in themselves. His optimism became our optimism. In the end, “we, the people” must realize they have the power, not Washington.
Governor Jindal stated his vision in Charlotte: “…free individuals, taking risks, building businesses, inventing things from thin air, and passing immutable values from one generation to the next … that is the root of America’s greatness.”
Are party members listening and willing to change, not their principles, but their approach to promoting those principles? We will know soon enough, but predictions of the party’s demise are as premature as they were for Democrats during the Reagan-Bush electoral successes of 1980, ’84 and ’88.
Republicans aren’t dead yet, but changes are essential for the GOP to get off life support. They can start by reading Governor Jindal’s speech.

Great words here by Bev Robinson………

January 29, 2013. I know burdens sometimes get heavy. I love you for bearing the burdens of others. But it is not good for you to keep them on your shoulders for long. I know you pray and this is the exact right thing. After you pray, get the burdens over on Me as quickly as you can. There are other burdens to come and you don’t want them on top of the ones you already have or you will break under the load. Precious one, the burdens you are to bear for others is the fruit of My Spirit. Bear and exhibit them so that others can see, hear, taste, smell and touch Me.

Galatians 5:22 (MSG) “But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard-things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments,”
