Reno live in the moment 2Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Just a reminder if all images do not show up on your emailed CUP, please go to FGGAM.ORG    www.fggam.org

How are you today?

We are praying for you and yours!

Sorry for the late CUP, got a call for help 4:30am and was up and ready to help those in need for God’s Glory Alone! Amen!

One of the things I really want to hit home today is this:

The past is the past for a reason, so leave it there.

So many people are living in the past, so much so it is preventing them from living in the now.

Philippians 3:13-14

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus

I struggle with the past at times……the what if’s………..many of the people we try to help are fighting this battle.

As my lovely wife Sharon says, “One thing we have learned from Reno our beagle,  is to live in the moment.”

When you watch God’s creation it becomes more and more clear, to live in the moment.

Matthew 6:33-34

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

James 4:13-17

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

Matthew 6:25-34

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Proverbs 27:1

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.

The bottom line is to stay connected to God and His Word each day..His promises, His direction. Let the pass go, God does not want you to hang onto it, He has a glorious future for you, if you will let go.

At the bottom of this CUP is a post on GARBAGE, which holds us back………read on my friends!

The following letter from my mentor Pastor Leonard Navarre, brought me to tears….as we celebrate 2 years of what God has done and is doing at FGGAM……..

In Hebrews 11:8 the Bible says, “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive an inheritance.  And he went out, not knowing where he was going”.  So was the call of faith upon the life of Brother Dewey and Sharon Moede.  As “For God’s Glory Alone Ministries” celebrates her 2nd birthday we are reminded of the leap of faith that Brother Dewey embarked as God put the call on Brother Dewey for ministry.  In the above verse two thoughts.  First, “BY FAITH”.  Someone once said “if you can see it, it’s not faith”.  Little did Brother Dewey and the team at FGGAM see what God had in store for this tiny (in our eyes) ministry, but huge in the lives of those it has impacted.  Countless hundreds of lives have been touched, impacted and influenced by FGGAM.  Only heaven knows that impact and influence.  Second, “HE WENT OUT, NOT KNOWING WHERE HE WAS GOING”.  Little did this ministry realize that it would touch folks around the world for the Lord Jesus Christ.  Leaving a full time (note: paying job) to embark on “not knowing” is a HUGE leap of faith.  But Brother Dewey and Sharon stepped out in that faith and God has blessed and honored that leap of faith far beyond their dreams.  The journey has not always been smooth.  But God has never failed to show His love, purpose and direction for FGGAM.  So, let us congratulate FGGAM and Brother Dewey on this 2nd birthday.  But, may we also continue to faithfully pray, give financial support and share encouragement to Brother Dewey and FGGAM as they continue to carry the banner of love, grace and forgiveness of our Lord Jesus Christ to hundreds.  So, I say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY FGGAM.  May God continue to richly bless the ministry of FGGAM.   FOR GOD’S GLORY ALONE!

Leonard

Associate Pastor Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood, New Mexico

Thank you so much Pastor Leonard, you and your lovely wife Diana and all the folks at Valley View have been such a blessing to me, Sharon and our family, we love you more than you know!

Here is a note from Randal Thom of Lakefield, Minnesota…………..

Randy's Dogssanta RandyGod Morning Brother Dewey, well as the readers have been reading, a short while ago( 2 years)  you made a big decision to walk away from a regular paying job, one that helped you know the bills would be paid, to a new and wonderful ministry, a ministry that would be fully supported by people and most importantly through your FAITH that God will ensure the success of this ministry you chose to call FOR GODS GLORY ALONE MINISTRIES. Your faith, the work you and your wife and many others have put in have brought the word and love of Jesus to many.
I enjoy the Daily cup, you put alot of work into this daily, you pray hard for so many every minute of your day.
Thru  FGGAM I have been blessed to become friends with others in your ministry, I think of Karen Rowe, Rick Staumbaugh, Shonda Savage (volunteer writers for FGGAM) all such wonderful and strong Jesus lights. I have enjoyed all their contributions to your ministry thru their writings, and thru our connections via facebook.
Today it is my prayer that everyone who has been blessed with the FFGAM ministry would make a decision to offer up a support donation, you work very hard, and if each person who reads this today, would pray on guidance and ask the Lord how much to offer your ministry, I believe that the yearly budget needed to operate and sustain the FGGAM could very well be on strong footing. I know that FGGAM is a great and careful steward of all funds sent to your ministry.
People are doing the ice bucket challenge left and right to support a great cause like ALS and I believe that is awesome, well now I am making a BIBLE VERSE CHALLENGE, post your most favorite and encouraging verse and make a donation to FGGAM. I will begin it here, my life verse is Jeremiah 29 11 thu 15 and with that i will donate 10 dollars today to the ministry. I now call out Patricia Fisher, Karen Rowe and Shonda Savage to take the BIBLE VERSE CHALLENGE. LETS SEE HOW FAR WE CAN GO WITH THIS..
Dewey, maybe you can make a thingy on your webpage so we can follow the BIBLE VERSE CHALLENGES ..??
HAVE A GOD WONDERFUL JESUS BLESSED DAY MY FRIENDS..
Randal
ps this is my puppies hungry for some food, can we be hungry for some word of Jesus daily also??

Randal Thom in Lakefield, Minnesota

Thank you for the kind words Randal, I was asked to take part in the ‘bucket challenge’ and I told Justin Johnson I could not swim! LOL! LOL!

Randal, I call him Randy, since we grew up in the same neighborhood in Windom, Minnesota and played baseball together, has been a dear friend for years!  Randy now lives in nearby Lakefield, Minnesota. His doggy’s are pictured here along with him playing Santa Claus and that is FGGAM friend Darlene Quiring from Mt. Lake, Minnesota with Randy. Randy plays Santa every year around southwest Minnesota lifting the spirits of so many and also bringing forth the message of Jesus Christ.  The day this picture was taken with Darlene, Randy was helping Darlene with her Christmas event for children and families.

Randy like all of us has been through tough times, very tough, including the plane crash he was in years ago that caused the death of his brother, Darrell Dwayne Thom, in 1991. Darrell was the pilot of the private plane. Darrel was born on 8/23/57, he was a year younger than me, we also played ball together. Very tough times for Randy and his family. Randy was severally injured in the crash. From everything Randy has been through he has become a stronger man of God. I must say, I have been through some very rough times in my life, and I have become stronger in our Lord Jesus Christ. I am sure you also have had your tough spots. My point here is that we are not to give up on anybody. Since the Lord put me and Sharon into FGGAM, God has sent to us many people society has discarded. God does not give up on anyone of us! Amen! PTL!

Luke 1:37

“For nothing will be impossible with God.”

How God works: Last night the Lord was showing me to post the story of the ‘fork’ and the ‘garbage truck’. Well I found the garbage truck and the fork is being sent to me! LOL! LOL! LOL! Anyhow last Sunday in Reserve I told the folks that we need to drop our garbage at the door before entering Church, or if you have any garbage you are carrying with you right now drop it to the floor, let us rid ourselves of GARBAGE! PRAISE GOD this post is from DARLENE! HOW ABOUT THAT!

taxi cabLove this from Darlene Quiring in Mt. Lake Minnesota….Darlene comes up with the greatest stories!
Law of the Garbage Truck: One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport…
We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.
My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.
My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.
So I asked, ‘Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!’
This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, ‘The Law of the Garbage Truck.’He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment.
As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they’ll dump it on you.. Don’t take it personally.

Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don’t take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.
The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.
Life’s too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,
so …. Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don’t.

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!
Have a garbage-free day!
“Faith is not believing God can, it is knowing that God will.”

Thank you for sharing Darlene! God Bless you and yours forever and ever!
Thank you for coming by for a CUP!
For God’s Glory Alone in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, Dewey, Sharon, Family, and FGGAM Team
Let us keep praying for each other and our families and neighbors!
Reno reminds you to live in the moment!
