Frank Haley of KDAZ News reports for FGGAM: The New Mexico Court of Appeals is being asked to decide if terminally ill patients have the right to end their lives. They heard arguments yesterday in a case involving a Santa Fe woman with advanced uterine cancer who is asking judges to clarify New Mexico’s laws preventing her from ending her life and putting doctors in legal trouble.

Pastor Paul Holt of FGGAM News commented on this situation: There is no difference between what is being asked of the state and other types
of suicide. Just because you believe you are near the end of life does not
change the morality of the issue. However, taking extraordinary measures to
prolong both life and the suffering is not required. There can be a balance
struck.

Let us pray over this situation.supremecourt_gavel
