Netanyahu (Israel Government Press Office)Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’ strong condemnation of the kidnapping of three Israeli teenagers was “good” adding that “I think it would be tested now by his willingness to stop the incitement against Israel and the glorification of terrorists,” Netanyahu said. The same statement has been roundly condemned by the Islamist terror militia Hamas, as well as some officials in Jordan, inside the PA and even some leaders among Israel’s Arab community as a “betrayal of the Palestinian cause.” Also on Sunday, Netanyahu expressed regret for the killing of two Palestinians in the West Bank over the weekend in clashes with IDF troops searching for Naftali Fraenkel, Gil-Ad Shaer, and Eyal Yifrah, saying “we have no intention of deliberately harming anyone, but our forces are acting as necessary for self-defense and from time to time there are victims or casualties.” Read More
