Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Let us get to the many prayer needs we have this morning!
James 5:14-15 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
  • Prayer…

Prayer is the essence of the Spiritual life without which all ministry loses its meaning. It is the fulfillment of the great commandment to love the Lord with all our heart, all our soul and all our mind…..To pray is to unite ourselves with Jesus and lift up the whole world through Him to God in a cry of forgiveness, reconciliation, healing, and mercy….Most of all, prayer is the way to become and remain part of Jesus mission to draw all people to the intimacy of God’s love.” by Henri Nouwen, The Only Necessary Thing: Living a Prayerful Life
I am so blessed to share with you that Josie Holt, the wife of my partner here at FGGAM, Pastor Paul Holt,  prays over this list of needs daily.
    Our God is the Healer.
Nothing can stop us when God is with us!

We are praying for Carol Ring, wife of Chuck Ring , Chuck is a writer here at FGGAM. Carol had a heart attack yesterday. Let us pray the healing of Jesus over her! In Jesus name, Amen!
Dearest Dewey…
At a loss today, and so I must ask for your help in garnering prayer for two souls in need.
One, my older half-brother Frank Cordova.  Frank is a Godly man and a devoted husband and father, and he and his family live in California.  We stay in touch mostly online, sadly. Frank is battling prostate cancer and is going into surgery tomorrow. I ask that your precious Prayer Warriors hold Frank up to our Father in prayer that he may have a successful surgery and a complete, speedy and permanent healing.
Secondly, my friend Jay H. is in dire straights. Jay is one of God’s wounded creatures and suffers from some kind of anxiety disorder, but he’s too skittish to remain under a doctor’s care. Plus, the woman he married (and since divorced) is an alcoholic and has lied to the court and to others and I’m pretty sure they set him up and put him in a very bad place. Jay has also lost his lucrative job as a result of the stress of living (and then losing) this woman. Further, due to his obsessive/compulsive behavior, and his refusal to believe his ex-wife has moved on, Jay may end up in jail for violating the no-contact order. I counseled him, I set him up with a psychologist, begged him to attend Al-Anon meetings, all of which he dismissed. He just can’t seem to help himself. I’m worried for him and I’m frightened of what jail might do to further erode his well-being.
Dewey, this is truly a case of a lost child in a grown man’s body and the enemy is quickly dragging him into a chasm. He needs the help and love of a good Christian community and so I turn to you. Please ask your Prayer Warriors to ask God for strength, self-control, wisdom and above all, protection for Jay. I am afraid he’s a danger to himself and I no longer know how to help him.
Thank you for your time and attention to this missive. I feel so helpless and so I must turn these two precious souls over the our Lord. God created the Universe and breathed life into all of us. I know He can help us, I pray for mercy.
In Jesus’ name.
Grace Cordova-Kalberer
We are praying now for Frank and Jay’s healing in the blood of Jesus! We pray for the healing,  peace, strength, and wisdom that only comes from God, in Jesus name, Amen!
We pray for healing for Abbie Navarre who cut her foot last night and required stitches. We pray for healing in Jesus name, Amen!
Good news on Diana Navarre the surgery went very well! Praise God!  Good News on Carol Ring! She is doing much better this morning! Praise God! Let us continue to pray healing over all these folks! Amen!
Please join us as much as you can at the Prayer Wall at FGGAM www.fggam.org and please pray over the needs daily. God Bless you. We love you all!

At the urging of my neighbor Norm who attends Calvary of Albuquerque, I am studying the Bema Seat. It is a fascinating study! Norm game me this study sheet that I am going to share with you. I have found that some do not know about the Beam Seat. This is one of the best explanations of the Bema Seat found atwww.allaboutGod.com I encourage you to do your own study.
Bema Seat – What Is It and When Is It?
The concept of the Bema Seat comes from the ancient Olympics, where a judge would sit on the Bema Seat at the finish line. The judge’s purpose was to determine what position the runners came in-first, second, and so on-and then to give out the appropriate rewards. That is the imagery behind what is known as the Bema Seat.
Also known as the Judgment Seat of Christ, the Bema Seat is described in 1 Corinthians 3:12-15, “If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.” Your gold, silver, and costly stones are works done for the glory of God, with the right motive, and in dependence upon the power of the Holy Spirit.

There is some debate as to the exact timing of the Bema Seat. Some understand it to occur at the moment of death for each believer. Others believe the Bema Seat to occur during the end times, with all believers being judged at that time. It does not truly matter when the Bema Seat occurs. It is far more important that we be prepared for the Bema Seat.

Bema Seat – What It Isn’t
The Bema Seat judgment does not determine salvation. Rather, it is when believers must give an account of their lives to Christ. It is very important to not confuse the Bema Seat with the Great White Throne judgment. Revelation 20:11-15 describe this judgment, “Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” The Great White Throne is where those who do not believe in Jesus Christ are judged and condemned. In contrast, the Bema Seat is for believers whose salvation has already been secured by faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10). We should not focus on the Bema Seat as Christ judging our sins, but rather as God rewarding us according to our lives. Yes, we will surely have to give an account of our lives. Romans 14:10-12 explains, “You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'” So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.” Part of this judgment is answering for the sins we committed. At the same time, I do not think judgment is going to be the focus of the Bema Seat.

In 2 Corinthians 5:10, Paul gives the Corinthian church an illustration of the Bema Seat, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” Paul is teaching us that all Christians will stand before the Bema Seat of Christ. At the Bema Seat, Jesus Christ will bring to light every deed-good or bad-that each believer has done on earth since he or she became a Christian. Every Christian will be rewarded based on his words, deeds, and faithfulness.

Now the sheet that Norm gave me from a sermon on the Bema Seat at Calvary is this:
Ways We COULD be Judged at the Bema Seat………..
How we treat other believers. Heb. 6:10
How we employ our talents, abilities and opportunities.
How we use our money. Matt 6:19, Matt. 10:41
How we endure sufferings and trials in life. James 1:12, Rev. 2:10
How we spend our time. Psalm  90: 9-12
How we run the race. 1 Cor. 9:24, Heb 12:1
How effectively we control our body. 1 Cor. 9:27
How many souls we witness to and win for Christ. 1 Thes. 12:20
How the doctrine of rapture has meaning to us. 2 Tim 4:8
How humble we are. Matt 18:4
How faithful we are in our vocation. Col. 3:22-23
How we use our tongue. Matt: 12:36
WOW! I was just taken a back at this list, and examined my life! It’s like reading the 10 commandments. I remind you that this is a list of ways we COULD be judged at the Bema Seat. I thank Norm for this list and because of it I am living a better life for Jesus Christ. This is an excellent check list for all of us in our daily walk with Jesus Christ.
In the meantime, I pray that you study the Bema seat and that this helps a bit.
As Don Piper says, “Heaven is a prepared place, are you prepared for heaven?”
