Life two

Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Oh how we love you so!!!

If all images do not show please go to FGGAM.ORG    www.fggam.org

I took the picture above yesterday here in Albuquerque.

My heart sank yesterday when I saw this on Facebook………….

My mom Marilyn Kelly went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 1:15 pm today October 15th.
Earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain. Thank you to all who prayed for her and held her up in prayer.
Her visitation will be at Lacanne Funeral home in Windom, Minnesota  on Friday October 17th from 4-8pm and her funeral will be at Windom Evangelical Free Church beginning at 1:15pm on Saturday October 18th.

When I read this I felt like a piece of Windom had died, I am thankful I got to talk to Marilyn awhile back. The Kelly family has been a foundation in the Windom area, a legacy that forever will stand for God’s Glory Alone! Love to all of the Kelly family! We are praying for you all.

Marilyn’s husband, Jack was the basketball and baseball coach at the school in Windom, He also was the Shop teacher and a Fireman and Rescue Squad member.  For years they also were part owners of the Pine Inn my favorite all-time drive in!!! WOW! ROOT BEER and a HAMBURGER with the works! AMEN! What food! Its been nearly 36 years since I left Windom. I remember Marilyn and Jack as being very busy with their own family but helping many others and being a foundation for Windom.

Yesterday before I knew that Marilyn had passed onto heaven, I drove by the sign I have posted here: “Life is a temporary assignment” Well, I am here today to ask you what are you doing with this assignment? WOW! If we all could impact a community like Marilyn and Jack have. There assignment was to serve others and they did so in such an AWESOME way!

I have to say here it is impossible to know your assignment, your true calling, without a close personal relationship with Jesus Christ, Amen! Many people think they are on the right track with their life, but not the track God wants them to be on, they do not hear HIM!

As many of you know, Acts 20:24 is my life verse…..My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. Amen! Marilyn and Jack knew the work that was assigned them by the Lord, to serve others. You can’t mention Jack without mentioning Marilyn or Marilyn without Jack as they were a Godly team.

I am in mourning for the Kelly family……..it is good to take time to mourn. In this fast paced world we, I believe forget to mourn properly, we forget that others may be mourning.

Matthew 5:4

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted”

The above picture is from a few years ago at a  wedding of Jack,  Marilyn and  grandson Jack and bride Kaley. Look at those happy faces! Praise God!

The last time I talked to Marilyn a few months ago, she told me, “We loved your Wally and your Mom” You see my Dad and Jack were best friends, they worked together at the school, Dad would drive the team bus wherever the team was playing, and Dad and jack swerved together on the Fire Dept.

There is nothing like love, friends and community!

God commands us to love:

Matthew 22:37-40

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Jack and Marilyn are role models for me and thousands of others on how to live a life full of love for others.

So, as we know life is temporary here on earth, what are you doing with the life our Lord Jesus Christ gave you?

This CUP means so much to me in my walk with Jesus Christ, it has been 17 years of the Lord directing me to pour you a CUP everyday possible. It is my way of paying all those folks who have shown me so much love over the years like the Kelly family. Yes, I am from a small town, many tell me I am from Mayberry, Lol! Well so be it, there is nothing like a small town!

As I close this part of the CUP, I want you to realize that there are many people like Marilyn and Jack in this great country, America! I have met many of them in my 36 years in radio/TV and now in ministry. That is a great blessing to us all, let us duplicate their efforts!

I pray that headline grabbed you! With all the news about Islamic State and Chemical weapons, Ebola and the Houston Mayor stomping on Pastors…..KKIM newsman Frank Haley sent us this “FUNNY BONE” to brighten your day!

THREE CONTRACTORS BID TO REPAIR WHITE HOUSE FENCE  (more truth than fiction!!)

And this my friends is exactly how it works!

Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the White House.

One is from Chicago, another is from Kentucky, and the third is from New Orleans.

All three go with a White House official to examine the fence.

The New Orleans contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil.

“Well,” he says, “I figure the job will run about $9,000. That’s $4,000 for materials, $4,000 for my crew and $1,000 profit for me.”

The Kentucky contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says, “I can do this job for $7,000. That’s $3,000 for materials

$3,000 for my crew and $1,000 profit for me.”

The Chicago contractor doesn’t measure or figure, but leans over to the White House official and whispers, “$27,000.”

The official, incredulous, says, “You didn’t even measure like the other guys. How did you come up with such a high figure?

“The Chicago contractor whispers back, “$10,000 for me, $10,000 for you, and we hire the guy from Kentucky to fix the fence.”

“Done!” replies the government official.

And that, my friends, is how the Government Stimulus plan works.

Remember… Four boxes keep us free: the soap box, the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box.

LOL! LOL! Thanks Frank! whitehouse
