Lech WalesaThis world continues to move toward globalization and universalism. It cannot abide the absolute values established by the Creator, yet humans have the overriding desire to have law and order because we were made to follow the law giver.

An example is Polish Nobel peace laureate Lech Walesa on Monday called for a new “secular Ten Commandments” to underpin universal values, addressing a summit of Nobel Peace Prize winners in Warsaw.

“We need to agree on common values for all religions as soon as possible, a kind of secular Ten Commandments on which we will build the world of tomorrow,” he said in an opening speech kicking off the three-day summit.

Besides universal values, the international community needs to focus on the economy of tomorrow, he said.

“That’s definitely neither communism nor capitalism as we have it today,” said the former shipyard electrician, who became Poland’s first post-war democratic president.

The world economy has been heading toward an amalgamated system for some time. President Bill Clinton was one of the first high level leader to call for a blended form of communism and capitalism.

We should be prepared to see more of these types of things were religious extremism (i.e. biblical Christianity) is discouraged or worse in favor of pluralism (universalism). This will certainly incorporate atheism and forms of Christianity that have left biblical teaching.
