Matthew 11:28-30 Then Jesus said, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light.”
The picture above is that of a cargo ship. It is made to carry heavy loads……YOU are not. Jesus made a way for us to be free from burdens. In my last post “Creation”, I talked about coming to Jesus….accepting Him as Lord and Savior. If you already know Him, count on Him…..get with Him and give your burdens to Him! He has huge shoulders!
I told a dear friend of mine that I didn’t know what I would do without the Lord Jesus. Life hurts….sometimes we are the cause, but there are times that things just don’t seem fair or right and that stuff can pound us to the ground.
I have had those face on the floor, snot in the rug, crying for the Lord to help me times. He always does….He is always available and wants to help and give us rest for our souls. Our soul is our mind, will and emotions. A lot goes on in those places that will trip you up if you don’t seek the Lord and give Him the burden.
I try to never push Jesus and salvation on people, but to be a living example of Him for others. I don’t always get it right, but my heart is right and I truly want to see others choose Him as Lord and Savior. Each person deserves the privilege of choosing Him. He has already chosen them……before creation!
He loves you and wants you to love Him….to choose Him. He waits with open arms for you!
A while back there was an elderly pastor that said Jesus was coming back. This was a couple or three years ago. He had everyone frightened and nervous. I hate it when people say things like that. Here is why:
Matthew 24:36 However, no one knows the day or the hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son Himself. Only the Father knows.
ONLY the Father knows. The rest of Matthew 24 talks about the signs prior to the coming of the Son of Man (Jesus). Things are bad now but will grow worse steadily.
Ron accepted Christ before I did and he used to say to me, “But what if I’m right and we do need to be born-again? I don’t want you to go to hell.” I didn’t understand, but I saw this difference in him. No matter what I did or how mean I was, he loved me anyway. When I rejected him, he loved me anyway. Just like Jesus. He loves us and wants us to love Him, too. He chose us and He wants us to be with Him forever.
Today, He is calling to you. Today is your day….please don’t wait another minute! I promise you won’t regret making Jesus Christ the Lord of your life! Let Him lift your burdens and give you rest in your soul. He will work all things together for you and help you.
Pray with me: Holy Father, thank You for Your Son Jesus. Thank You for making a way for Me to be with you forever and always. Jesus thank You for dying on the cross for me….for taking my punishment, my sin, my sicknesses, diseases, and burdens….Lord, thank You for forgiving me all my sin. I believe You were born of the virgin Mary and that You died on the cross for Me and rose again on the third day to sit at the right hand of Holy Father. I accept You Lord Jesus and I receive You into my heart. Be the Lord of my life. Holy Spirit, fill me and help me to walk out my new life in Jesus. I love You Lord and I praise You. Thank You for saving me. In Your precious Name Jesus. Amen!
