exclusive10-Mindful-MinutesFGGAM INSIDER EXCLUSIVE: At last nights softball game a Parent was on the phone working on a problem at McKinley School in Albuquerque where her son attends 7th grade.  During a 10 minute and 5 minute break in the classroom the school will be implementing Goldie Hawn’s program called Mind Up.  The Parent asked for her son to be able to opt out of the classroom and was refused. She was told he can read a book or something during Mind Up. I suggest the Bible. It is very concerning that the Albuquerque School system can introduce a Goldie Hawn program but not a Bible program. Read about Hawn’s program here: https://thehawnfoundation.org/mindup/

Let us pray that instead of Mind Up, eyes turn toward Jesus Christ.

I do not know at this time if this program is being implemented at other Albuquerque Schools, Do you? Is it in your child’s school?

Here is a note from Pastor Brenton Franks of Evangel Christian Center in Albuquerque where they have a wonderful Christian School, as Pastor Brenton said to me today there are plenty of wonderful Christians School all around us!

CAUTION: It has happened to me twice today. I had someone text me saying that in Albuquerque Public Schools they have introduced new age curriculum. When the parent asked for their student to opt out, they were refused. An APD officer earlier today shared about the level of problems with disorderly and difficult students at another school very close by, yet the school refuses to have an officer on campus (you have to ask yourself why the administration would refuse that…puzzling). Friends, your children are your greatest treasure and you and I will be held accountable for how we train them. I encourage you to be very careful. This city is filled with numerous, quality Christian schools. Watch what your kids are taught. I have been tempted to say nothing and let people do as they please without commenting, but I caution you that you better be careful. Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” (NKJV) If you don’t train them when they are young, don’t expect much when they get older and have been bombarded for 13 years with secular humanism, evolution, and and worldly philosophies. We all reap what we sow.

  1. Mind Up is just repackaged Buddhism. Even if you don’t want to do extensive research on this program, simply google it and you will see that the art of “mindfulness” that is taught in this program is exactly the same “mindfulness” that is the seventh part in the eight paths to Buddhism.
From Wikipedia, “Mindfulness practice, inherited from the Buddhist tradition, is increasingly being employed in psychology to alleviate a variety of mental and physical conditions.”
Our schools continue to teach our children anything but Christianity. All is acceptable but the Bible and the Lord. Buyer by ware.
