Of Demagoguery, hypocrisy and immorality
Jesus Christ warns in Matthew 7:16:”You shall know them by their fruits.” Many Americans were once taught that actions speak louder than words. Such is good advice for proper discernment. Both apply well to the words and deeds as the occupant of the Oval Office responded to the barbaric sawing off the head of journalist Jim Foley. While the mainstream lapdogs that call themselves the free press covered his remarks as deploring the heinous act, they left out the major portion of the “president’s” statement that should convict him as an apologist of Islam and his complicity in creating the circumstances that led to the systematic torture, death and destruction in the Middle East under his evil foreign policy.
Speaking from his $12 million-plus vacation home in Martha’s Vineyard, he spent 318 words of his 699 words describing who Jim Foley was, what happened to him, and how we should remember him. He spoke 214 words demagoguing about the common bond America has with the people of the Middle East, including Syria and Iraq and that the United States “will continue to do what we must do to protect our people. We will be vigilant and we will be relentless. When people harm Americans, anywhere, we do what’s necessary to see that justice is done.”  He spent 83 words describing the atrocities perpetrated on “killing innocent, unarmed civilians in cowardly acts of violence.” Then 98 words of apologetics for the peaceful religion of Islam.
He said, “So ISIL speaks for no religion. Their victims are overwhelmingly Muslim, and no faith teaches people to massacre innocents. No just God would stand for what they did yesterday, and for what they do every single day. ISIL has no ideology of any value to human beings. Their ideology is bankrupt. They may claim out of expediency that they are at war with the United States or the West, but the fact is they terrorize their neighbors and offer them nothing but an endless slavery to their empty vision, and the collapse of any definition of civilized behavior.” To a man who believes the Islamic call to prayer is the most beautiful sound on earth, he first names Muslims as the victims.
The Islamic State is a declared caliphate. It is carrying out the context of Mohammad’s Quran as typified by some 109 verses such as Surah 2.191 “And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter,” and Surah 8.012, “I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.” IS has advanced so rapidly largely because it has captured the hearts and hopes of Muslims, and its ranks are swelling because of it. It is supported by the “president’s” foreign policy partner The Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda.
Moreover, the “president” has been complicit in establishing the Islamic State. From US policy and taxpayer money flowing into Arab Spring to the release of the IS leader in 2009 when the “president” shut down the Iraqi prison to the “president’s” authorization of training future IS leaders on US military tactics in Jordan to his looking the other way when IS “confiscated” US military equipment, his policies have directly and indirectly emboldened, aided and abetted the Islamic State. These are the actions of the “president” who so smugly decries the hell he fomented in the Middle East. Given his actions, his words are the new height of demagoguery, hypocrisy and immorality. There are no shallower 16 words than his statement’s end: “May God bless and keep Jim’s memory, and may God bless the United States of America.”
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!
