Headline in the Albuquerque Journal today: Clergy Show gay marriage support.Nearly 100 New Mexico religious leaders signed the statement which was organized by the American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico.

What does Religious mean?

What does the Word of God say?

Marriage is more significant than you may have thought.

Marriage was designed by God and defined by God.

Marriage is at the center of God’s purpose for mankind.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27

Some of the church has turned marriage into a civil rights issue, for some it is not a God issue any longer.

God joined a man and a women together so that together they would mirror His image.

He called this union marriage.

Their oneness reflects the character and unity of God. Matt 19: 4-6 John 17: 22-23

Their oneness is a living picture of this intimate relationship between Jesus Christ and His followers. Eph 5: 22-33

Sadly there is now some of the church that no longer Preaches that.

They no longer believe in the Full Gospel.

11 states now have legalized same-sex marriage.

So goes the church, so goes the country.

94 New mexico religious “leaders” signed a statement “recognizing the love and commitment of lesbian and gay couples through marriage.”

The list of clergy who signed the statement included leaders of Jewish, Presbyterian, United Methodist, Lutheran, Episcopalian and other denominations across New Mexico.

The Journal quoted Rev. Rhonda Smith McIntire, rector of San Gabriel the Archangel Episcopal Church of Corrales saying, “Marriage for others should not be my decision  it should be their decision because I respect their dignity and I want them to have that choice.”

I agree that marriage of others should not be my decision, yes, it should be God’s decision and His Word. God brings men and women together to the Holiness and purity of marriage.

  1. How extremely horrific that church’s are doing this. Neither church’s, governments or individuals hold the authority to change GOD’S plan. I pray and fear for these church’s future; they are on an Un-GODLY path and they will be held accountable on judgement day!!!
