I know it’s been a minute since my last post. We had entered into a busy season. I pray that everyone’s Easter/Resurrection Sunday was blessed and fulfilling. I pray that many were introduced or reintroduced into a Relationship with Our Lord and Savior Jesus. After all, isn’t that what our call is? To reach out to others to help them know who He is and to grow in our walks?

I want to pick up from where I left off with my last post. We were looking at how the Armor of God is related to a Believer’s Walk. Today, I will pick up on the first piece that seems to be listed and that is The Belt of Truth.

Belt of Truth

Justification, Jesus Becomes Lord and Savior

John 14:6 (NKJV): Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

As you can see, I have introduced it as the piece that produces the Justification stage in a Believer’s life/walk. As we see here in John 14, Jesus talks about how He is The Truth. What Truth are we looking at? That He is fully God and fully man. That through Him, we are introduced into The Family of God.

John 1:12-13 (NKJV): But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

As we learn here in John 1, it is only through Jesus that we are considered Children of The Most High God. We may hear others talk about that we all, everyone here on earth, children. However, it is from The Word of God that we learn different. We have to study His Word to learn what He would really want from us not what we think He wants. He gain Wisdom and Truth from His Word and that is what helps us to come to learn what it means to be Justified or better known as being saved or even better known as entering into a Relationship with God.

Psalm 119:9-16 (NKJV): How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. Blessed are You, O LordTeach me Your statutes. With my lips I have declared All the judgments of Your mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts, And contemplate Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.

Joshua 1:6-9 (NKJV): Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

It is important for us to understand that through His Word, we not only learn how to come into His Family but how we grow in our walks. We learn how to allow Him to change us. We learn how to walk in His Righteousness.

The Belt of Truth is the revelation of who God really is. It is also the realization that only through Christ do we grow and change.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV): For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Matthew 18:1-5 (NKJV): At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.

Until Next Time:

Ezekiel 37:1-14 (NLKJV): The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”

So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.”

Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.”’”

So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.

Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”’” 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’”
