Who Do You Trust?

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”  (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Beloved, I have had folks in my life that encouraged me to trust them, only later to discover they were not trustworthy.   When dealing with fallen humanity, one has to trust with both eyes wide open.  That is not being negative, that is being real.   Usually, trust has to be earned.

Then, I encountered God.   Because I had been use to dealing with people, I mistakenly thought God needed to earn my trust as well.   It is a sad thing that the created felt like the Creator needed to earn his respect and trust.   The Scripture above is not a suggested direction of choice with an enticement of reward.   It is a commanded direction with a guaranteed reward for obedience.   “Trust in the LORD!”   “. . . acknowledge Him” and, He shall literally cut you a highway!

Beloved believer, our LORD knows a thousand ways to make one way clear for you.   Trust in the LORD!   Pray On!
