Patrick Madrid is a Catholic apologist whose radio program The Patrick Madrid Show is heard nationally on iHeart Radio.
On Thursday, March 23, 2017, Mr. Madrid commented on New Mexico’s Senator Gerald Ortiz y Pino’s pro-abortion hospital bill. Senator Ortiz y Pino is a self-described Pro-Choice Catholic.
Senator Ortiz y Pino had the audacity of introducing SB 282 Hospital Patient Protection Act. (See SB 282.) The bill requires all hospitals, including Catholic hospitals, to perform abortions. The “no exception for conscience” is the antithesis of the Catholic Church’s consistent teachings on life.
Referring to Senator Ortiz y Pino, Mr. Madrid is heard to say, “You are doing the Devils work.”
