Iranian Regime Confiscates Satellite TV Equipment

A ceremony was held in Teheran Sunday to destroy some 100,000 satellite dishes and receivers that security services had confiscated throughout Iran. “The truth is that most satellite channels… deviate the society’s morality and culture,” explained an official with the clerical regime. Critics have called the crackdown on communications equipment a naked attempt by the regime to tighten its control on the population.
