An Israeli-made surveillance balloon is being used by the Paris municipal police to help guard the global climate change summit currently underway in Paris.

Yavne-based RT LTA System Ltd.’s SkyStart 180 Aerostat is in the air over the French capital, providing mid-range surveillance and public security services to the police, which leased the balloon from RT and the French company Groupe SSI.

Netanyahu returns from successful trip to Paris

Netanyahu only stayed in Paris for one day, long enough to give a short address before the conference which was well received. He also took part in the “family picture” featuring the heads of 150 governments and shook hands with leaders ranging from Russian President Vladimir Putin to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. He also held brief conferences with US President Barack Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande, British Prime Minister David Cameron, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi as well as the prime ministers of Canada, Poland, Japan, Australia, India and the Netherlands and Prince Charles of Britain. “Israel’s standing in the word is very firm,” Netanyahu told reporters after the meetings. “People are looking to get close to us.” Read More
