The jihadist militias are expanding their reach throughout the Middle East and into Africa, even while they are spreading their poison globally and finding new recruits over the Internet. Whether they are Sunni radicals like in ISIS and al-Qaeda, or Shi’ite militants led by Iran, they are determined to reach the goal of a world ruled by Islam. So when will the West wake up to the mounting threat of Islamic extremism and start to fight it at its source? Do the jihadists really practice a legitimate form of Islam? On today’s show, we’re lcontinuing to take a hard, sober look at radical Muslims and whether they are following the religion of Islam first conceived by the prophet Muhammad. Many Western leaders and the media continue to insist Islam is a religion of peace, but today’s guest says otherwise… and he has unique credentials for saying so. Pastor Umar Mulinde from Uganda grew up in a strict Muslim family and was studying to become an imam. But he found Jesus and became a preacher of the Gospel who also stands with Israel. This enraged many Muslims and they tried to kill him nine different times. Eventually, they threw acid in his face, and Umar has been visiting Israel ever since for medical surgeries to repair the damage from this hateful attack. Front Page senior producer David Parsons recently sat down with Umar for an update on his condition and to get at the truth about Islam. Here is the second part of that interview…

In a few days, Israelis will celebrate the start of the Jewish New Year, also known as Rosh Hashana. This holiday marks not only the start of a new year on the Hebrew calendar. It also marks the beginning of the fall High Holy Days and the period known as the Days of Awe leading up to Yom Kippur – the Day of Atonement. Now the Lord actually gave the ancient Israelites two calendar years to follow. One is tied to the agricultural cycle in the Land of Israel and begins in the spring with the first of Nisan, just two weeks before Passover. Meanwhile, the second calendar is more tied to the span of human history, and is said to date from the day on which Adam became a living soul. And this more universal calendar begins with a trumpet blast on Rosh Hashana in which one awakens the soul to prepare to stand before the Lord our Maker. So just what is the biblical significance of Rosh Hashana? What are some of the traditions that have built up around the Jewish New Year? And is Rosh Hashana just for Jews?
