The Fragrance of God, by Karen Rowe March 30, 2015

sunrise-165094_640The fragrance of a peach is so amazing to me!  Whether in the store or on a tree, I will not often pass by a peach without picking it up to smell it!  The fragrance of a ripe peach is glorious!  I love to hold a peach and experience the wholeness of the fruit and breathe deeply in the precious aroma that is only found in a peach.  The fragrance of a fresh peach is one of my very favorite productions from God’s Creation to smell!  I love to smell the God infused fragrances of roses, jasmine, lilacs and flowers of all kinds!  I love the smell of rain and babies!  I even love the smell of horses; a specific fragrance that perfectly complements their created nature and that brings a certain calm to my Spirit and joy to my soul!  Yet, the peach is my very favorite fruit to smell and even hold!

The fragrance of God can be experienced too!  And, like the fragrance of a peach will draw you in to experience the beauties and wonder of this fruit; so will God draw you in to experience His love and His Joy!  By His Grace …

Good day to you on this glorious day that the Lord has made!  Let us rejoice and be glad in it!  Let us lift up our eyes on Jesus and praise God’s holy Name!  Let us begin with prayer!

Dear Father God, I pray for your presence now.  I pray that we may know your will; and you may reveal to us our mind that you may cause our thoughts to become agreeable with your will.  Father, I surrender to your faithfulness as I pray for this person reading this right now.  Father, you know their heart, their mind, their hopes and desires and their circumstances and challenges.  May they know the fullness in your love for them.  Father you know their faith as you know mine.  Father, I pray for the blessings of peace and joy to be full in every reader right now as your joy begins to flow in me with a fresh anointing for this day!  Father, in your presence is the fullness of joy and this is the joy that I pray I serve you well in.  Teach me Jesus, my help and shield, the will of God; and help me O Lord fulfill the will of the Father that flows through me to each person that I pray for right now.  By your Grace Father, I pray the blessings of the assurance of your love to flow into the hearts of each person reading this right now.  Open our eyes and our mind to experience your presence and know your will.

Father, as I continue to pray to you, I ask you to bring understanding to us through your word in a way that guides our walk closer to you that we just want to be near you and desire to be near you more and more –like it is with the fine fragrance of a peach that draws us in to desire the fullness of the fragrant smell that is in your presence.

In Jesus Name, and all of God’s children say, Amen.

Psalm 115 talks about our God in the heavens verses idols made from the work of men’s hands.  Can you think of some things that your trust may be slightly in a thing more than in God?  We all have things we value, but it is good to ask God to test our hearts and allow God to make them pure; that these things in our life are a blessing and not our value and worth.   Our value is God and our worth is Jesus.  There is no man-made idol, nor accomplishment that can love us as God; nor save us from death, but Jesus.  I found it intriguing how it is written in Psalm 115 (vs 5) that idols have mouths, but speak not; eyes, but see not; (vs 6) ears, but hear not:  noses have they, but they smell not:  Psalm 115 continues on in (verse 7) hands, but handle not:  feet, but walk not:  neither speak through their throat.  Verse 8 of Psalm 115 They that make them are like unto them; so is everyone that trusteth in them.  YET, Children of God our trust is in the Lord:  he is our help and shield!  We are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth (vs 15 emphasis mine).

Before we go on, I believe the Lord is leading me to pray for you –the brokenhearted; those who are suffering because of the things of this world.  There is a suffering we have because of Christ, but in Christ we have a help and shield to get through.  I believe God wants me to pray for you.

Father, I pray for Salvation to come to this person in this hour who has never known Jesus as their Savior.  I pray for life in Christ to come in their heart right now.  I pray for the Holy Spirit to bring understanding to them for all these things that we will be talking about.  Father God, Lord Jesus, precious Holy Spirit, teach them how to forgive by believing in Jesus.  Render forgiveness to them, so they can experience the fullness in your love for them.  Father, reveal your Son, Jesus, our Savior to them so they can believe.  Father reveal this life with you that Jesus died to bring to the world; to all who will believe and, by the power of the Holy Spirit rose again to bring reconciled everlasting life with God in Heaven above.  Help them to believe.

Dear friend, As you sense the power of God raise your hand, please just raise your hand up with God to this screen to meet mine; I have just prayed to the Father for you.

Now, in your words that the Lord will help you say, just confess that you believe God’s testimony about His Son.  Tell God that you believe that God SO loved you that He GAVE His only begotten Son to die for you so that you shall not perish but have everlasting life!   Tell God in this moment that you 1st believe that you believe!

Friend as you pray this prayer, I believe you are changed and removed from the torment of fear and frustrations in sufferings of this world; that although you may suffer for a little while; and from time to time; now you have Jesus as your help and shield.   You didn’t have to die to escape the fear and frustrations of this world.  Instead, you just received life that although you still live in this world, you are no longer OF this world, you are now in Christ, who makes you a citizen of Heaven.  Believing on Jesus and trusting in the Lord, in the power of the Holy Spirit, is your help and shield.

If prayed to God from your heart believing God’s testimony about His Son, you have received life everlasting in Christ Jesus. Believe that Jesus died on a cross for the penalty of all sin to save you from death and bring you to life; and bring to you, the qualities in HIM, which is found in and of His life He gives to you.  Life is with God / death is separation from God.  Tell God from your heart when you feel HIS JOY living in you, that you place your trust in HIM.  Believe God is trustworthy and faithful.

Go ahead and pray this prayer with God; spend some time here with God –We have the time.  We can pause and wait right here on you while you pray.  There is no hurry.  This is why we are here.  We are here to guide you to experience the power of life over death and to know this love that God has for you!

When you are ready, come along with me.

Friend in Christ, I am excited for you who have just prayed that prayer!  Now, I believe the Lord will reveal this message to you in a powerful way!  I believe you will experience life with God in his presence and in the fullness of HIS Joy –and understand in experience what this means!  Now, that you have believed, ask God to teach you about your faith, how to hope and why it is so important to trust in Him; in the Name of His Son.

Jesus was the only one who was qualified!

I believe that it is appropriate to pause right here and ask God to listen to your heart that is filled with praise and thanksgiving!  Jesus was the only one who was qualified.  Listen for the words of the Lord to fill your mind, heart and soul to praise God and thank Jesus right now for what Jesus has done for you.

Father, bring understanding to each of us as together we pray the prayer the Lord Jesus taught us to pray, 9 Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.  11 Give us this day our daily bread.  12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.  Thank you Father for you Word that is written in Matthew 6:9-13.

This morning I woke to the voice of the Lord that guided me to pray for you that you may experience your ability in Christ to smell the fragrance of the Lord.  I am so glad that you allowed me to spend some time with you today and pray with you.

God is love; and love is demonstrated and reflected –This is the love that was 1st revealed to us through His Son on the Cross for us.  This is the love that is also demonstrated and reflected in the realms of Heaven when God reveals His love for us and also for His Son, whom He was and is proud of.

Now, we too can demonstrate (in the power of God’s Love) this love of God –by the power of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.

What human nature can’t do alone, God is faithful when our trust is in the Lord; He is our help and our shield!

Thank you Father for revealing your love and we ask you to teach us how to abide in this love which is of you (not of this world) each and every new day that you provide for us in this life; that we may reflect your love so that others can see life with you in an attractive way that is desirable and good.  Thank you Father for demonstrating to us the power of trusting in you and also in your Son.  Thank you Father that our praise to you is that in all our ways we can acknowledge Jesus and He will direct our paths and make them straight!  Jesus is our help and our shield!

Thank you Father for this revelation and prayer time.  Thank you Father that as we read in Psalm 115:6, we read in Christ with fresh eyes on you!  In Christ and with God, all things are spun positive:  Praise God, we have noses and we can smell the fragrant aroma of God!  Seek His presence and smell the fruit of the Spirit –God is the source!

Father, teach us more and more about your love and your Character –Father God, you are the source of the fragrant fruit of the Spirit! Praise God, we can simply say today that the joy of the Lord is our strength, courage and new will that is more concerned with pleasing God than the vengeance of self-rights.

Thank you Father for your Knowledge!  You are a Just and Wise God and love made complete!  Thank you that by your Grace, you reveal in the blessed assurance of your peace and joy:  God’s will is worthy of striving for!  Glory be to God, in God’s will there is a joy that is complete, powerful and sufficient!  A joy that is such a contentment, energy and rest all wrapped up in one!  God’s presence is fragrant inside and out!  There can be a radiance of God’s presence worked through us!  Certainly, found in Christ, there is an abiding peace.

Peace is evidence of our good standing with God and between others.  Peace is a good position with God that Christ is identified in us with a fantastic feeling of freedom and contentment that no money can buy and no purchase can attain.  Nothing but the blood of Jesus, who bought us the right to stand in the presence of God.

There is a fragrance we can smell near to God; and a fragrance in Christ that we can omit in our attitudes; just like a peach has a fragrance when it is ripe!  Jesus is the one who draws others in near to us to learn more about God’s love for them!  This is why we put off our human nature and put on beatitudes of and in Christ; which is of our spiritual nature in the presence of God.  God’s love!  It is impossible to put on the beatitudes of Christ without being in Christ.  But, all things are possible with God!

“I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands (Psalm 143:5).”

I hope this is a blessing to you!

Love in Christ,

Karen Rowe

Psalm 115 King James Version (KJV)

1 Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.

2 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?

3 But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

5 They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:

6 They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:

7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.

8 They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.

9 O Israel, trust thou in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.

10 O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.

11 Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.

12 The Lord hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

13 He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great.

14 The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children.

15 Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.

16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

17 The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence.

18 But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord.

King James Version (KJV)

Meet Karen: Hi, I am blessed, by God's good grace and because I know Jesus, I am blessed. I choose to be blessed, because I have a choice set before me and I refuse to look down. I trust God and I know and believe in the love God has for us. I have overcome difficulties; and I am blessed by the grace of God alone. If I have written about it, then I have felt the pain of it in some way, and to some degree. Did you know that Jesus has felt your pain? This is why I write. By God's grace I can identify; and tell you honestly, yes there is hope in anything and everything that you are facing today! Jesus is our Hope! He is the Truth, the Way and the Life. I am married a wonderful man, Robert Rowe; I love my husband and he loves me; and we have been married for 28 years. Together, we have been blessed with a wonderful daughter, named Amanda who is college now; and a wonderful son, named Daniel who is growing up well and soon to graduate elementary school. We work together and by God's grace we run our own business called PSI. We have a pastor over our ministry and over our business and also we depend on him for advise in our family. We have 2 dogs, 4 horses, 2 cats and love to spend time outdoors by the water and by campfires ... that is it seems when we can find time away from life's busy schedule. I love to write because it helps me learn more about God. And, I am driven by a passion from a love that God has put in my heart to share from my experiences and struggles, as I gain understanding in God’s Word to know how effective and powerful God is over our every situation! I share with you so you can know that you are not alone in your struggles. The same God who helps me and my family, is your help and shield as well! Life is not always easy, but it is possible –I like to share the difference that following Jesus makes in my life. And, I love to share God's patience and mercy and love that is with me! I am not perfect, but am experiencing God sanctify me through and through with every mistake I make; and yes, overcome in Christ! Life is not just about the successes; life on this earth is also about the troubles we overcome to discover what God has hidden in our faith to find! Troubles are more a challenge to grow in our faith ... It is not easy, but in the end the grace of God we discover is worth experiencing God in the midst. By Grace, I have discovered Jesus is Peace and He is my Joy and Wisdom from Heaven. God is our Provider and Healer and Creator, who is our help and shield over all things. By grace, I have experienced a nearness to God through my faith in His Son! We are well forgiven by God; and well blessed when we know and believe the love that God has for us. To say, "all is well with my soul" is a powerful knowledge to understand and experience. I sense God's desire for you to know His love for you and how deep His love for you is that He has SO loved you; God gave you His Son. God loves you right now just as you are! There is so much to learn! I believe that as we learn from God, we are God’s gift to each other. It is all God’s story –and for His glory; and God has SO loved us. I love to paint the vision that God has given me about a Father’s love –that God wants you to dream again and visualize His love for you! In God’s eyes, there’s more to life than we see; and in a world that sometimes misrepresents and misunderstands God and love; God wants you to have the courage to dream His dream and see His vision of a Father’s love for you! Many years ago, I prayed to God, “How can I tell a million people what I know about Your Son?” God showed me I had a gift of a ministry about God's Love; and He called it Hope in Today! I write to please God and I write to encourage you; and I write to spend quiet time with God. All because of this love that God has first shown me! I need Jesus –and my life is about my relationship with God. And, every blessing begins with Him! Love in Christ, Karen Rowe, Director Hope in Today Ministries, Inc. 1. Thank you Dewey. That flower is called a Hyacinth. It is very fragrant like a Lilac Bloom! One of my most favorite fragrances in God’s Creation that I love to smell in the presence of God is that of the Lilac! The Hyacinth fragrance reminds me of that!

Pastor Alston and I met today. Thinking even deeper, Pastor Alston shared with me after reading this post that we can inhale the love of God in a way that can be compared to when we inhale the fragrances in Creation. And, when we inhale deeply the presence and love of God in Christ … something changes within us … the beauty of God will become evident and flow from within!

Dewey, Thank you again for all you do -For God’s Glory Alone!

    Blessings and Love in Christ,
