CUP TeraDear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,

We have a prayer need from Pastor Brenton Franks of Albuquerque……..

Had the opportunity of spending some time at the hospital this afternoon with my mom, Bethal Jane Crow Franks. She continues to struggle with a great deal of pain after surgery. Also, after speaking with her doctor, there is a steep climb for Becky with new health concerns. This season has been quite hard on her and the rest of the family too. Your prayers are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

We are praying healing over Becky! Many of you know that Becky’s husband, Pastor Ray Franks passed away this past January.

We have not heard any more news on 2 year old Meadow who was rushed to the hospital the other day. Please keep her in your prayers.

A blessing in my life has been Tera Cory Elness of Windom, Minnesota, my home town. She is a shining light for Jesus Christ, she took this picture above and said I could use it on the CUP! Tera speaks to women groups for God.  If you want to find out more about having Tera speak to your group just let me know and I will put you in contact with her. She does travel! I hear should would like to come to New Mexico!

Thank you Tera for letting us use your beautiful picture for the Daily CUP!

This is from Tera……

Do we Notice?

Acts 3:1-10 (The Message)
One day at 3pm, Peter & John were on their way into the Temple for prayer meeting. At the same time there was a man crippled from birth being carried up. Every day he was set down at the Temple gate, the one named Beautiful, to beg from those going into the Temple. When he saw Peter & John about to enter the Temple, he asked for a handout. Peter, with John at his side, looked him straight in the eye and said, “Look here.” He looked up, expecting to get something from them. Peter said, “I don’t have a nickel to my name, but what I do have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!” He grabbed him by the right hand and pulled him up. In an instant his feet and ankles became firm. He jumped to his feet and walked.

We pray that you will be inspired by today’s CUP! AMEN!

Thank you Tera.

My friends this is on my heart again today………

Ezekiel said, “I prophesied as I was commanded” Ezek. 37:7 He did what he was told to do. It takes more to live in that place thatn any other that I know of…to live in the place where you hear God’s voice. Only by the power of the Holy Spirit can you quickly do as you are told. We must stay in the place where we see God, where we always hear His voice, not mans, Where God sends us the messages that bring life and power and victory.  With the pressure of the world it is easy to get into a place where you are not hearing from God. It is easy to have a knee jerk reaction and do or say something that is not of God. Stay close to God.

From Darlene Quiring of Mt. Lake, Minnesota:

Caring for others is a theme through Scripture. God calls us to be His hands & feet on earth & to take care of those in need. There are many needs. Maybe it’s hunger. Maybe lack of clothing or shelter. Maybe it’s financial. Maybe it’s a shoulder to lean on or a few words of comfort. Jesus said, “You will know we are Christians by our love.” Jesus loved the outcasts; touching & healing lepers, caring & loving children, giving water & living water to the woman at the well. If we are going to follow Jesus, we must reach out to those in need in whatever way we can. It means, touching, caring, giving, sharing & loving others. After all, Jesus set the example!!! “To be like Jesus. To be like Jesus. All I ask, is to be like Him. All through life’s journey, from earth to glory. All I ask, is to be like Him.” Let’s be like Jesus today!

Philippians 2:4

Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Ephesians 4:32

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

John 13:34-35

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Proverbs 21:13

Whoever closes his ear to the cry of the poor will himself call out and not be answered.

1 John 3:17-18

But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

1 Timothy 5:8

But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Galatians 6:9-10

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
