Washington, DC (January 28, 2014) – Today, U.S. Congressman Steve Pearce voted for H.R. 7, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act. Pearce is an original cosponsor of the bill, which restricts taxpayer funding for abortion by uniting a patchwork of temporary and narrow policies under a clear, straightforward law.
“We must never hesitate to protect the most vulnerable and helpless among us,” said Pearce. “Today’s bill is a commonsense approach that we can all agree on. Most Americans agree that we should not take money from the taxpayer to pay for abortions.
