How are you this day?
Our theme of late has been from Matthew 6:8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
I pray that those words of God have soaked into your heart, mind and soul. It is the one answer man cries out for. It is the only true answer. peace be with you.
I wrote this, today, God gave me the word’s as He does everyday. He gives me the resources, He gives me the people to talk to, the verses to read, certain books to read. He usually points me to certain books each morning, to just look at maybe one page, one quote, all directed from our Father.
Today He sent me to “The Red Sea Rules”
“He knows the way He taketh,” even if for the moment we do not.  J.I. Packer
Our whole perspective changes when, finding ourselves in a hard place, we realize the Lord has either placed us there or allowed us to be there, perhaps for reasons presently known only to Himself.
Fear not, little flock,
Whatever your lot;
He enters all rooms,
“The doors being shut.”
He never forsakes,
He never is gone,
So count on His presence
In darkness and dawn.
“Only Believe” by Daniel Reader
Hezekiah, seeking revival was trapped by the most powerful army on earth, bent on annihilating his people.
The Lord’s disciples sailed at His command on Galilee only to face a terror-filled night of storms and waves.
The Son of Man Himself, fulfilling the Father’s Will, was nailed fast to wood and left to hang by His hands until dead.
The apostles, trying to preach this Crucified One, were horsewhipped.
“Beloved, do not think it is strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you”  1 Peter 4:12
Christians should not be surprised when, in seeking God’s Will, we find ourselves at times trapped in painful, frightening, difficult, or impossible situations. Life is hard—-especially for Christians. We have a determined enemy seeking to devour us. “In the world,” Jesus warned “you will have tribulation” John 16:33
Then He added: “But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Thanks be to God!

Thanks, Dewey, for your help in posting this.  I am glad to hear that FGGAM is doing well.  I am greatly encouraged by your e-mails.  I will keep you in mind when I have an opportunity to promote FGGAM.  I hope you’re able to join us in prayer on August 29.

The National Day of Prayer Task Force headquartered in Colorado Springs is on a bus tour this summer holding prayer rallies in 37 states. They are meeting with pastors and intercessors in each state to pray with for the state and the nation.  They will be in Albuquerque for a Prayer Rally onThursday, August 29 at New Beginnings Church.
America has probably never been in more need of prayer than today.  We need to come together and pray fervently for our nation.  Please spread the word about this prayer rally to your friends and join us for prayer at one or both of the following events.
When:    Thursday, August 29
                   11:30 am – 1:00 pm
Where:   New Beginnings Church
                    3601 Montgomery Blvd. NE  87109
(Corner of Montgomery and Carlisle, a few blocks east of I-25)
Host:       Pastor Richard Mansfield
Lunch?    No food will be served.  We encourage you to eat before or after the prayer meeting,
or if you feel led by the Holy Spirit, to fast during the noon hour as we join in prayer.
We will begin indoors with a brief time of worship.  Then one of the members of the National Day of Prayer Task Force will speak to us briefly about the power of prayer and the things we need to be praying for.  Following that we will launch into a time of fervent prayer for our nation.  We hope to move outside to pray later during the event, so consider wearing some sunscreen, as the sun can get rather intense in New Mexico in August.

For those who cannot be at the Prayer Rally on Thursday or who just want another opportunity to pray with the NDP Task Force, they will be at the Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Wednesday evening, August 28.
