joy      “GOOD MORNING!”

Written by Stephen Young

Psalms 30:5: Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning. NLT

Have you been in a season of weeping? Does it seem like even during the day, it’s as dark as night? If you answered yes to either of those questions, this is for you this week.

We all face times in our lives that are difficult. Some face more difficult times than others. Maybe your situation seems impossible. Maybe it seems like there is no way you can ever get through it. I want to encourage you this week, the Lord is speaking and He’s saying, “Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” It’s time to say “Good Morning” to your situation and as you do you’re speaking joy into your situation. You’re speaking day into your night. You’re declaring that light will overcome the darkness.

I like The Message translation of this verse. “The nights of crying your eyes out give way to days of laughter.” Some of you reading this can literally relate to nights of crying your eyes out but the Lord told me to tell you that days of laughter are approaching. It’s time to speak life into your situation, it’s time to declare victory, and it’s time to say “Good morning” to your situation. Don’t let it win, don’t let the darkness of night stop you from seeing the light of the morning. It takes just a small flicker of light to penetrate the darkness. If all you can see is a speck of light that means you’re night season is ending and the morning is approaching. Joy is at hand, days of laughter are upon you.

You cannot give up, you cannot give in. I’ve sensed this for the past week. Many are on the verge of giving up but you must hold on. Quitting cannot be an option. I believe we are stepping into a season of promises fulfilled. Hold on, weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning. I was reminded of the passage in Psalms 126:5: “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.” Harvest time is here, reaping season is upon you, thank God for your time of weeping because you’re about to reap in joy! Because of what you’ve walked through, God will use you to help others along. To come alongside someone and tell them that they too can make it, that they too will experience joy.

So, go ahead, look straight into the face of your situation and say, Good Morning!
