Chimnayo  A 200-year old church north of Santa Fe is under attack by vandals.  Santuario de Chimayo  has been repeatedly vandalized since October.  Pentagrams and satanic symbols have been scrawled on walls and doors, blood red wax has been used to cover holy figures and the face of Jesus was ripped off a crucifix.  Church managers say they think bored kids are the vandals and drug addicts the thieves .  They’re having a benefit concert on July 19th to raise money for a better security system. Let us support this effort.

Here’s more information on the benefit:

Renowned cellist, Michael Fitzpatrick will be performing to help raise funds for a security system for the Santuario. The recent shocking vandalism provoked Michael, a friend of the Santuario, to help. Michael frequently travels with and performs for the Dalai Lama. He is a recipient of the Prince Charles Award for Outstanding Musicianship and has performed from the White House to the hills of Spoleto, Italy for their Music Festival to the Royal Palace of Jordan. The Santuario is honored to host him. Visitwww.michaelfitzpatrick.com or contact Joanne Dupont Sandoval at the Santuario 505-351-9961 or Judi Bennett 310-924-2914 Co-Producer

Let us pray that Satan be gone from this situation!
