Conservative Intimidation and SB 15: Call Now!

privacyPrivacy is sacrosanct when it serves the political agenda of the Left.  In 1973 the Supreme Court’s argument for ruling in favor of Roe v Wade, legalizing abortion, was based on a “right to privacy.” Anti-sodomy laws were overturned in 2003 based on the same “right to privacy.”

This sacrosanct right has now been abandoned for the purpose of political intimidation. The New Mexico State Legislature wants to pass a law making it necessary to report contributions to nonprofits thus intimidating conservative donors.

Senate Bill 15 CAMPAIGN FINANCE REQUIREMENTS (Peter Wirth D-Santa Fe) will result in the reporting of contributors to a nonprofits when the nonprofit publishes materials naming candidates, even nonpartisan voter guides.

The names and addresses of those making donations to nonprofits supporting Californian’s Proposition 8, a constitutional amendment making marriage between one man and one woman, were published.

THOSE LISTED RECEIVED DEATH THREATS AND WERE HARASSED.
SOME LOST THEIR JOBS.  BUSINESSES WERE PICKETED.
CHURCHES WERE VANDALIZED.

A map of those contributing to the support of Proposition 8 called “Eight Map” was published on the Internet making each one of those persons vulnerable to attack. (SEE https://www.eightmaps.com/)

It is important that each of us pray, then contact our Representative IMMEDIATELY.  Urge him or her to vote NO on SB 15. The State Capitol switchboard number is (505) 986-4800 or to find your Representative click HERE.

Thank you for your prayers, concern and involvement.

Yours in Christ,
